I had sore ankles with the EZRides, which went away when I switched to
FlexRides. I had been told the extra weight of the EZRides was tiring to
naturally weak ankles, and it certainly made a difference to me. Now I
see that EZRide has a new lightweight plastic version of their stirrup (in
my new Sportack catalog) -- has anyone tried these yet? I wonder whether
they are as light as FlexRides. From the drawing it looked like there's
less foam padding on the bottom, but the description says "same dense
foam cushion" ... so who knows? My only beef with the FlexRides is that
the sides angle in quite a bit and rub the top of my hiking boots -- the
EZRides are roomier for heavy boots. Hmmm, nothing's perfect. :)
