Bits



I have found that young horses will fuss alot with a bit that is TOO BIG.  Measure the snaffle/bristol when layed out straight, it should be, at most 1/2 inch longer than horses mouth.  Measure horses mouth with a dowel. 
 
Also he might be better with a straight bit with a port for his tongue, have you access to a kimberwick to try?
