Hoof Packing Source

I posted a few days ago about my farrier's suggestion to pack the clefts of
my horses feet with a supportive packing. I have found the source for this
product and they do have a web site. Go to http://www.horseshoes.com/ and
click on Market Place. Select Advance Equine from the Manufacturers Index
and look through their selection of products. Advance Cushion Support is the
stuff I was talking about. A Virginia ridecamper recommended it to me also
for use under pads. You also might want to look at the Keratex products.
They make a Hoof Putty that is a malleable wax containg slow release
disinfectants. This might be a possible help for packing into the clefts on
horses that are prone to thrush? Of course there's alway Forshner's
Medicated Hoof packing. None of these items are moderately priced but no
hoof, no horse!
