white hairs and electrodes

Now that spring is here I am noticing a white spot behind my horses left 
shoulder blade.  These white hairs are right where I put my electrode for my 
heart monitor.  Has anyone else noticed this with the placement of their 
electrodes?  I hope it is not the saddle.  I have been thru the great saddle 
hunt and would like a break for a while.  I need to catch my breath before I 
begin that hunt again.
