Riding bareback will make the great saddle fitting dilemna look like peanuts 
by comparison.  Can you imagine?  You're at a friend's for dinner, they offer 
you that second piece of cheesecake, you respond (depending on how you're 
butt's fitting your horse).  "Yes, I'd better, my seat bones are making nasty 
rub marks".  If your hostess is a non-horsey type, you can be pretty sure you 
won't be invited back.  (But what a great rationalization for a second 
helping of dessert!).
