Re: Beet pulp again

Laurel, I don't have any experience directly with the Triple Crown Feeds,
but I like the new generation of feeds coming out that are beet-pulp-based.

You probably aren't short on many vit/mins at all, if any. Since even
conditioning for a 25 mile CTR is significant work, it wouldn't do your
horse any harm if you got just ONE good all-around vit/min supplement mix,
like Select, or (my personal preference) Grand-Vite and gave your mare a
half scoop in her ration. It'll help fill in any minor holes that might be
there without getting into over-supplmenting territory. But I wouldn't lose
sleep over it if you chose not to add the vit/min. Especially with the
access to fresh, quality pasture, your feed program sounds right on to me.

Good luck with her!
