RE: Happy 99 What it cost me

You got taken to the cleaners. I'd be contacting your so-called computer
tech for a $950 refund. Keep the $50 Norton anti-virus. This virus can't
do ANYTYHING else but email stuff from your pc. It can't damage hardware.
The 32 mb of ram means that your pc either needed more memory or was a piece
of junk to start with and it needed to be replaced.

You are implying that Ridecamp caused your pc to fail. I can state this in
no uncertain terms - while you received the virus from Ridecamp, ALL of the
things you just paid for were unneeded, except for the anti-virus software.
I've been in the computer business for 14 years - this is a classic case of
a dealer or tech taking advantage of a situation. I'm sending this thing
back to Ridecamp so that other folks will see how not to get taken advantage
of.

But don't take my word for it, get a second opinion locally. Then demand a
refund.

Just to get an idea of what that Happy 99 did to my computer, here is the
breakdown. I lost my software about one a week, My hard drive crashed, I had
trouble booting up. And I got a virus a day from Ride Camp. Now I have
Norton Anti Virus and detected six Happy 99's coming in - the past two days
from RC. Better check your own system!
