  It sounds like there was something else going on with your computer.
Happy99.exe is not a destructive virus.  It is a worm that merely wants to
propogate, so it sends itself out when it gets a foothold in somebody's
computer.  It does not eat files, crash your hard drive, or destroy any
other piece of hardware.  Unless you have discovered a severe mutation of
this worm (to the point of turning it into a vicious virus), I doubt that
Happy99 was the culprit for your computer problems.

Obviously, *something* was wrong, and I'm sorry you had to pay that much
money to fix your computer.
