chain letters and Big Horn Saddles

Lets leave the chain letters to those who want them some other place. This
is for endurance riding topics and we seem to have plenty of related
material. Virus warning is an ok exception since it can bring havoc to our
info. system.
I have a Big Horn I bought new about 9 years ago. I've used it on several
horses and just change the amt of saddle pad to take up space now and then.
I recently bought a Skito pad as one of my horses started getting some
white patches toward the rear of the bars. He never had a sore back and if
he was a grey I never would have known it. I used a Caschel (spelling?)
with another horse and rode him 5095 miles with that saddle and never had
any white hairs or a sore back. I probably have in excess of 12,000 miles
on that saddle,(8315 AERC miles) added a sheepskin cover a few years ago,
replaced the latigos and stirrup assembly for about $85 a couple of times,
they need it again. That saddle gets used for everything: chasing cows,
training rides, and pleasure rides. I have heard that the new ones aren't
as good as the old ones, don't know what they may have changed. They don't
cost that much compared to some of the others,so go for it.
