Big Horn Saddles

I'm currently having problems with mine shooting forward over my
young horses shoulders on down hills. Of course, he's a little
pot-bellied, and doesn't have great withers yet. The center-fire
rigging puts the cinch at the fat part of his belly, and the cinch
just wants to keep working it's way toward his elbows, which pulls
the whole saddle forward.

I've been using just the front rings with better success, but it
still works forward. Any suggestions? I like the saddle, it's
comfortable, easy to post, etc.

Do you think once his withers "come up" a bit more (he's currently 4)
it won't be such a problem? I did order a crupper, in the meantime
I've been riding him in a Stubben (wide tree) which fits great.
