Thus far, I have attended only one ride that specifically stated "no
dogs." I called the RM and asked whether there were any exceptions made
to that rule, as I am have no interest in attending a ride without my
daily companion ... but I very much wanted to do *that* ride. I explained
to her that Bailey goes with me everywhere, that I have no one to keep her
if I left her behind, and that I don't feel safe travelling without her.
I assured her that Bailey is very well-behaved and very quiet, would be
under my control at all times, and would be no trouble to anyone. She
said that under those conditions, I could bring Bailey. Which I did. And
she was no trouble to anyone, and is welcome at future rides.
I have trouble imagining circumstances where I would attend a ride that
forbade me to bring Bailey along; however, I would not bring her without
prior permission. I simply wouldn't go to the ride.
