RC: Re: Nylon & Biothane

I;m sorry. I gotta step in here. I have been using nylon tack from Running
Bear farm for over 10 yesrs. I had to burn holes in the bit holders to fit my
petit Arabs head. No problem. Heat a meat fork over a burner and puss it
through. Slick.

The reason I like the nylon is it is SO easy to wash. Pop it in the washer
and hang to dry. I left a rein out of the tack door on the way to a ride and
it got road burn pretty badly. Didn't go all the way through. Still using
the rein and, yes, it stops even the most energetic horse. The nylon is soft,
too.

I have use biothane. That's plastic covered very thin nylon. Strong stuff.
It is light weight and I like it too. But I still like my Running Bear Farm
nylon Halter/ Head stall. It gets wet and dirty and cleans up great. Hate to
give you the either or but both are good. Just a preference.
