NEW VET AWARD PROPOSAL

Hi All,

I had what I thought was a great idea going down the trail at the
Hallelujah ride, but my tumble knocked it out of my head until now.

I think we should start a mileage program for VETS.  If not at the
national level, I propose that SERA start one for our region.

Face it, we go to an extra ride or two because we're competetive and we
want to be at the top of the pecking order.  Are vets any different? 
Don't they deserve a little "extra" for staying up to vet a 100?  What
about 50 pts. for vetting a 25/50 and 100 pts. for vetting a 100.  Add 25
pts. if they're the first to show up for vet in on Friday.

I would love to give an appreciation award to the vets who give up the
most weekends to support the sport...several who have to give up riding
at the ride just to vet it...maybe this would soften the blow.
