Wrong.    This has been a name-calling, yelling match conducted in
public.  Everyone of us subjected to this verbal fistfight has a right
to request an end to it.  

This list not only has a capable moderator, it has capable, reasonable,
responsible subscribers who most assuredly have as much right to request
an end to a discussion that's gotten out-of-hand and annoying, as those
who feel they have the right to be rude and obnoxious in a public forum.

The folks who have earned the right to say "enough already" are those who
contribute and risk an occasional scuffle in doing so. Those who sit back and
offer nothing useful except to get huffy about language, attitude, argument or
whatever should simply continue their non-existence. This list already has a
capable moderator.
