Just because 25 miles is not endurance to some doesn't mean it isn't for
others...for some of us perhaps it is a struggle and quite a personal
feat to achieve it!!  I think it is plain insensitive and arrogant to
decide what one may be "enduring" on a 25 because perhaps you ARE able
to endure 50....my sister "endures" 25 LD at great physical sacrifice to
herself.  She thought she would never be able to ride again after neck
surgery and suffers some physical pain on a daily basis.  She now rides
a gaited horse, aspires to ride endurance (though realistically she will
never be able to ride 50s) and in many eyes, the cost of what she
endures riding 25 miles is much greater than the cost of what one may
endure over what they brag is an easy 50.  Anyone who would dare say she
is not a "real endurance rider" because she may only be able to do 25 LD
is not a true enthusiast of the sport but a snob!
