Pam,

I completely agree!  When the "Be Nice" (and even the tied
"rope-handling" halters made of thin nylon rope  came out, I thought
them very dangerous in "inexperienced hands".  I was later proven right
by many articles .  PLEASE don't EVER tie-up a baby (I wouldn"t even tie
a h orse "fast" with them because of the possibility of "pullilng back"
and nerve damage to the poll.)  They are fine for leading and teaching
"respect"  and other "in hand" activies, especially  in a round pen, 
but very dasngerous the way some people use them!
