Two mules have won the Haggin Cup (Best Condition for the Tevis Cup Ride)
	Hugo in 1974 
	Ruby in 1998
Two mules won the 1976 Great American Horse Race
	Lord Fauntleroy and Lady Eloise (Virl Norton told me he wanted to win the
	GHR. I asked him why he chose mules instead of Arabians.  He replied that  		
mule legs would last longer)
A mule  (at one time, I am not sure about now) held the Long Distance Mileage
	record in the Australian Endurance Riders Association.
	Juanita,  owned by Patsie Sinfield.  I had the honor of riding Juanita in a
fifty 	miler in Australia in 1985.
Frank Bennett rode almost 14,000 AERC miles on his mules. Rufus  had 6,280  	
	lifetime miles and Apache 4,510. I've forgotten the others.
I rode last Saturday with Maryben Stover on her mule, Miss Scarlett O'Hara.
	Scarlett can outwalk any horse I have seen.
