I've had excellent luck wearing my thinsulate Ariat Extreme's year round.
If they are hot, I sure can't tell and I really believe that the extra
lining provides better support and comfort.  Frankly, I like them MUCH
better than my unlined Ariats!

My most favorite pair of riding boots ever were a pair of men's Winter
Ariats with  Thinsulate™ lining -- best fit, and I never noticed them
being too hot in summer and they really are waterproof. You can stand in
a stream and not get your feet wet.
