Re: WHAT A HOOT!!!!!!

Rebecca,
I have been sitting back and watching your posts with increasing
dismay,
and in the spirit of "discretion being the better part of valor", I have not

made any reply. However, I have to say something before I burst.
I have never seen a person so prone to shooting themselves in the
foot, in my life. You are a business person who has made some very
good money from the business of endurance riders and all others who
like to ride varied distance trails. Your saddle has not been recommended
since I have been participating on Ridecamp and I wonder if that hasn't
caused
some of your peevish (sour grapes?) behavior toward this group.
The shame of it is that you make a very good product, but it takes
more than a good product to build customer loyalty and business integrity.
You must treat the people who are potential customers with respect, as
you should treat your regular customers with appreciation and consideration.

I bought two saddles from you, and even though you treated me in a less than

kind manner, the details of which I will not bore the readership with
(excuse
the syntax), I went on to recommend your product to yet another fellow
rider,
who tells me she advised you of the recommendation, and yet you never even
acknowledged this with a thank you. This is partially irrelevant, except to

demonstrate the fact that you have a lot to learn about business ettiquette,

at the very least.
I notice you have been shamelessly plugging your business by changing
the tag ending of your messages to include an ad for your company . Here's
a clue....My business has thrived for 40 years without EVER advertising. We

have succeeded by respecting our customers, spending more time listening to
them than spouting off with our personal grudges, and by providing a fine
product which is backed up by personal service.
I am truly sorry that your judgement has deteriorated so far that you
would actually insult this group (and others) and then challenge them to
be angry with you. The appropriate response at this time would be for
you to issue an abject and sincere apology to all those you have annoyed
and offended and hope that, as horses tend to be forgiving of mistreatment,
so will these people be as forgiving. You are just starting out in the
business
world--you can't afford many more of these mistakes. Fall back and regroup,

honey, before you back yourself up against an immovable wall.

Sincerely,

Linda Flynn
