Apophysis

Hi All,

Would like to know if any of you have information on apophysis.  A friend of
mine has a 2 year old that came up with a swollen outside knee.  The vet
stated that this was apophysis.  The horse was being fed as a halter horse and
was possibly overfed with protein.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
