That doesn't stop them from winning medals or Top Tenning, however.  Chris
Knoch was the silver medalist in Flagstaff; Sherman Leitgeb, in his first ever
FEI appearance, was 11th at the Pan Am in Bend.  The heavier riders are also
often the best runners, which often makes up for the weight factor, since the
weight spends a lot of time not on the horse.
