Length of Gait

My horse is considerably better trained than I, with a background in 2nd
level dressage and stadium jumping.

I'm not the person who asked about how to lengthen a horse's gait at the
walk, but I was truly in need of that information. And it works
wonderfully. My gelding is normally very pokey at the walk (unless we're
headed back to the barn), but he responded easily, happily. Guess I was
the only one who didn't know the cues.

Now, how do I accomplish the same thing at the trot, since his is short and
choppy?

p.s. His canter is great -- smooth and fun to ride.
