Tevis photos soon available

I went down to the Tevis this year, got to do some volunteer work and also
took a ton of photos. Some were at the vet check in at Robie park (where
everyone's horse was looking mighty fine), and most were at the top of
Devil's Thumb (where most were looking a wee bit sweaty although I did see
some amazing smiles).

The photos will be developed by Thursday(8/20/98), and I'm having 2 copies
made of every photo. The second copy is yours free of charge if you do two
things:
1) send me (my address is below) a self-addressed stamped envelope large
enough to hold 4x6 photos.
2) tell me how to identify yourself and your horse (what were you wearing at
Robie Park, during the ride, horse color/type, horse number, halter/lead
type/color (at Robie) etc).

If you had friends on the ride, especially if they aren't on RideCamp,
describe them and I'll include them in your envelope.

I was unable to get take shots of everyone, and sadly, I got to Devil's
Thumb after the first 25 riders had already passed through. I ran with 70
lbs of camera gear as fast as I could... :-) If I am unable to find you
in the photos, I'll send you a note back in the SASE.

Also, additional dupes and/or blowups are possible. Again, I'm doing this
for free, all you have to do is cover the cost of the actual dupe or
enlargement. And they are quite inexpensive - 4x6 dupes are about eighty
cents each, I've had 8x10 enlargements made, cost was about $6 each (or
less), and surprisingly, an 18x24 poster size enlargement was about $16.
The quality was quite good. It takes about 2 weeks for the
enlargements/dupes.

I'm going to send all photos that don't get claimed, plus all of the
"generic" shots of scenary, officials, etc to the AERC main office, they
might be able to figure out who's who and send them on.

Final thought - the Tevis is a most amazing event. Everyone that entered
showed courage far beyond the normal bounds. I met so many friendly and
generous people that I'm hard pressed to keep track of them all. I'm comple
tely impressed with the spirit and thoughtfulness of the organizers,
volunteers, and riders, AND, I'll be seeing you there next year, as a rider.
Congratulations to everyone who was there!
