Re: Equine Health Insurance

Joe,

I have insured my horses for mortality and major medical. I go through Horse
Insurance Specialists out of Pilot Point, Texas.

The major medical costs $125 a year. There is a $250 deductible and 100%
coverage up to, I think, $5,000. (I don't have my policy in front of me.)

This company and others advertise in most horse magazines.

You can call 800 number directory assistance and get the Horse Insurance
Specialists number. Whenever I have talked to them about any questions they
have always been very helpful and pleasant. I have never put in for a claim
though.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Ellen
