Arabs vs Appys and Scratches

Hi,
	I would like to thank everyone for their replies regarding Arabs vs Appys.
   
	Now, though, I have a new question.  I've read the posts about Scratches
for some time now, but I must plead ignorance as to exactly what Scratches
is/are????? I know you all can enlighten me . . . . please?
