Re: Gelding young



Not to worry!  Geld him and love him.  I gelded my colt at 3 months and it
was much less traumtic for him.  He woke up and went right back to Mom.
He's growing up just fine and is right where he's supposed to be for his
age. (comparing to brother who was gelded at 6 months).
One caution though...My vet recommends that the young ones be stitched up
because they spend so much time sleeping (ie laying down in whatever) and
it reduces the chances of infection.  So we did and it was like nothing
happened a week later.
Now if I can just stop him from grabbing everything with his mouth.....
