I too have a  '96 Dodge with Cummins Diesel .....love it!!!

I pull a 2-horse TB size trailer OR a 22 foot travel trailer
(Deluxe 5500lbs) and hardly know it.s there.  The diesel
has high torque over a wide speed range which is ideal
for towing.

I get 20 MPG solo and 13 MPG with trailer.  Compare that
to a gas engine.  Also the diesel should be good for a lot
more miles than the gas engine.

The 6 cylinder Dodge has about 40 % fewer parts than the
eight cylinder Ford and is CUMMINS not Ford manufactured.
