Appy gelding for sale

Hi Ridecampers!
The gelding I rescued Easter Sunday is ready for a new home. He is a reg.
Appy who is half Qtr. He is 14.1h and 8 yrs old.
He is a stunning palomino with big white blanket with big palomino spots on
the blanket. He is something to see!
He is well-built, but not the bull-dog type. Has a gorgeous head!
He has a very mellow disp. ( especially when compared to most of our arabs : )
Real nice on the trails, will go anywhere, walk, trot , canter, over logs,
creeks etc. Mud doesnt bother him. Neither do bells, target shooting ( 50 feet
from him)
or the shop-vac I use to groom. Very easy to catch too.
Pretty and well-built enough for the ring, but needs some finishing for that
type of thing. He is very light in the mouth, and responds pretty well to leg
aids. I think he could go english real easy.
Since I have had him I have had his teeth floated, and a wolf tooth pulled,
his sheath cleaned, de-wormed him with equimectrin, given him his shots, had
him shod and put about 150lbs on him.
I have ridden him on the road, in the arena, in the pasture and on the trails.
He definetly enjoys the road and trails far more than going in circles in the
pasture or the arena. ( And who can blame him?)
He is safe enough for kids, but due to his light mouth I would not like to see
a heavy-handed beginner on him. I resued him as a favor to the HORSE, and want
to do right by him when I sell him. I am asking $2500 for him and that is
negotiable, of course.
I am in the Vancouver Washington area, about 20 miles NE of Portland Or.
Please email me or call 360-896-3631 for more info.
