Well, I don't know. These results are similar to other modes of inflammation
reduction--With DMSO you get reduced repair of the treated tissues. With
corticosteroids you get actual damage. I don't know where lasers fit in, but I
would say that in general, anything that reduces inflammation is also going to
compromise healing. However, lasers have been shown effective in increasing
the rate of open wound healing. But so has Aloe.
