I have just bought a Polar heart rate 
monitor - the kind that's about a 
foot-long rubberized strap, thicker in 
the middle for the transmitter, 
electrodes within the strap. 
What is the best way to attach it 
without chafing the horse? 
 Under the cinch (western type rope 
cinch)? If so, how to hold it in place? 
Or in front of the cinch, using a 
separate belt/surcingle? How would it 
attach to that? The human-sized elastic 
strap is a bit too short <G>.
 Also, should it go centered, i.e., the 
middle of it pointing down to the 
ground, or someplace on the side?
Will be grateful for any helpful 
suggestions. Please e-mail me directly,
