Re: Bad Disk

To Connieh: Try Glucosamine & Chondroitin which is similar to Flex Free for
horses. I have taken Clucosamine Sulfate and find that the Chondroitin works
better. I have also taken Chondroitin Sulfate and Glucosamine Sulfate
[together] and have not had as good luck with it. Also, it is much more
expensive.

I started taking all of this stuff because of bad knees [before I broke them]
and found that it didn't help my knees much but my hands are 100% better. Now
I can open jars, etc. It works for some people and not for others, much like
Flex Free on horses and dogs. Also, you might consider a little gem called
Wheat Sprout Antioxidant. It is a SOD which stands for Super Oxidase
Dismutase, not to be confused with the SOD made from concentrated beef liver.
I know, I am beginning to sound like a health food nut which I assure you I am
not. However, it is too soon to tell but it seems to be working on me. I
know it works on my dog. I have an ancient German Shepherd with displasia and
almost no hip sockets left. Accupuncture and Predisolone helped him to walk
again but since he has been started on the Wheat Sprout stuff, he is walking
almost normally [for an old German Shepherd]. Anyway, it is not dangerous to
use with any other drugs and it certainly is worth a try. It has been used to
stop the aging process and also for Alzheimer's patients, patients with
Parkinson's Disease and arthritis. It was reported on on 20/20. It is
supposed to combine with cellular wastes or byproducts in such a way that the
body can get rid of them rather than having these wastes pool in the joints
where they cause inflammation and arthritis. It has no adverse side effects.

My herniated disc was in my neck and treated surgically. However, low backs
are more of a problem. However, only from my experience [30 years in personal
injury and medical malpractice lawsuits], I don't see how a chiropractor can
help a disc which is truly herniated, however, I have seen disastrous results
of what can go wrong with chiropractic work on bad discs. I know, now I will
hear from all of the chropractors out there but this is just my opinion from
my own experience. A consult from the best neurosurgeon [not neurologist or
orthopedic surgon] you can find is the first and best thing you can do for
yourself. Good luck....Maryben
