Delurking for a nanomoment:  You can get aspirin-caffeine-codeine in the USA
if you have a prescription (I think one of the trade names is Empirin.)
It's the codeine that's a controlled substance--it's an addictive narcotic.  

BTW, in re trail safety, any of you riders ever been assaulted on the trail
or elsewhere?  I have, and it SURE changed my tune about traveling solo or
otherwise...nothing like being throttled to focus your priorities.  Email me
