Hi I have never heard about crabs in a horse. If my 
horse or any of my horse were doing this I would
first have my muscle therapist work on the horse
and if that didn't work I would get a chiropractor. To
me that is not normal, it sounds like the horse is trying 
to get away from pain.Putting the rider in an other
position to carry the weight.
