I am half leasing my gelding and writing up a Release of Liability note.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should include and what
verbiage I should use to protect myself?

It's unfortunate in this day and age but I am including something to the
effect; Horseback riding is a dangerous activity and can result in
hospitalization, injury and death.
