 but can you imagine how that made Val feel. Put yourself in her place. 
If I had work very hard to accomplish something and at 52 years of age 
had accomplished something as great as a gold metal and then at an 
awards ceremony you were booed and hissed 

If I had a check for $272,000 in my hand  I would have laughed myself
silly, and flexed my muscle...and made some comment about how at least I 
was riding a male...even if it was gelded...I think they concentrate
better that way.  That should make them shudder.

Hey Angie,
 You better be careful; you don't want our fellow male endurance riders 
getting mad at us; do you? :-) There's nothing more enjoyable in life 
than sitting down with some girlfriends and talking about the males in 
our lives. But since I'm new at ridecamp I don't want to hurt anyones 
feelings; at least not yet.  But I do agree with you.
