Re: ride fees

Angie,
From Grandma here, I particularly think the fee should be raised to at
least $15 PER CHILD that is terrorizing the camp and $25 (payable to the
portable pound) for dogs, cats, or potbellied pigs not on a leash. Hugs,
Linda in Ca:o)
PS. It might defray some of the ride cost.

>Easy now... They don't need any more ideas for new fees!!!

I've got some:

$10 Asking a stupid question at the ride meeting that you know the
answer to, just because you think that someone there might not know the
answer.

$10 Showing up at a ride with limited parking first, parking at a weird
angle and then staking out 1/2 acre for your portable pen.

$5 Having the nerve to act offended when the ride manager breaks down
and asks your to restake your pen.

$5 Stopping with your horse's butt in the gate as you enter the P&R
area.

$5 Not teaching your horse to trot out.

$5 Riding with someone, then taking your horse away as soon as YOUR
horse passes the pulse check but before theirs has.

$5 Driving up and down the road that leads to the vet check where the
horses have to travel more times than is necessary.

$5 Asking the out timer your out time more than 5 times.

$10 Letting your kids terrorize camp.

$5 Assuming management didn't mean *your* dog when they said "all pets
must be on leash".

$10 Asking the ride manager to leave their management position and go
get your completion award for you since you'd like to leave early.

$10 Showing up with a Jr. with no prior arrangements for a sponsor.

$5 Expecting the vet to do a lameness exam to diagnose your *just
pulled* horse's lameness, while there's a long line behind you.

$50 Leaving without paying the farrier or vet.
