If they want to dispute it they had better do a lot better than turn their
GPS on at the start and trun it off at the end.  I don't know of many trials
where there will not be long stretches of trial where the signals from one
or more of the space craft will be severely attenuated because of folage or
obstruction will be corrupted by mutlipath interference.  In which case the
data procossed during that period is suspect and the overal measurment made
using those data will be unreliable.

GPS is good but it depends on the collection of clear strong direct path
signals from the space craft.  This would not be the case under the canopy
folage, in canyons or deep valleys or on many mountain sides.
