helmets

I began wearing a helmet about 15 years ago when a friend of mine was
killed by a fall from a horse.  My helmet saved my life 5 years ago when a
pit bull attacked my horse.  

I don't get the big deal.  To me, it is not worth the risk.  If you don't
like a ride rule requiring helmets, don't do
those rides.
