check ligiment

Hi Annette,

Several years ago I had a similar injury on a english pleasure show horse.
Ultra-sound showed minor (2) tear. It took some time to heal up with stall
and small run rest (she was in great condition so that was a joke!) and
then very short, quiet hand walking, then short quiet riding. As I recall
we took about 60 to 90 days. She was never lame just had a small little
lump just below the knee. The thing I remember was this injury requires
some moving around as it heals but there is a protocol as to what and how.
I would consult a good leg man(vet) 'cause you don't want problems in the
future. Good luck
