Tevis Cup Satellite Photos

FYI, the "clickable trail maps" available on the Tevis web site now have a
series of USGS satellite photos linked in.  Right now it's limited to just three
such photos, giving overlapping covererage of the area from Ford's Bar at the
foot of the California Street trail on through Francisco's, Poverty Bar, Lower
Quarry and the Finish at Auburn.  More to come later.  Here's where to start:

These photos have been annotated to point out key items of interest to Tevis
Riders, but a link is available from each to its unblemished original on the
Microsoft Terraserver.  From there, you can zoom in on lacations of interest.

Fair warning:  Terraserver requires Java (i.e., a browser version that's not
more than about two years out of date) and you may encounter World Wide Wait on
a 28.8 dialup.  The photos on the Tevis site aren't too bad.  Each should load
in 30 seconds or less.
