Wendy & Fire Mt Flikka

For those interested, the Bakersfield Californian wrote a nice article on
Wendy & Flikka.  Ridgecrest is in Kern County and about 100 miles east of
Bakersfield.  The article can be read on the web at www.bakersfield.com 
Click on the 'Local' heading under 'news', then click 'Last 7 Days' and
scan down to Sunday, Nov 1.  The article is titled 'Local equestrian will
compete in desert race'.  I hope other areas are giving their riders the
coverage they deserve.  

Congratulations to Wendy and the whole team.  I'm really excited for Wendy,
especially since I own 2 half sisters to Flikka and am thrilled for Jackie
& Jim Bumgardner who own Sierra Fadwah+/, Flikka's sire.  I'm sure all
endurance riders who are riding Fadwah horses wish the best for Wendy &
Flikka.
