re: requirements for a good crew

Since ride season is at a close til spring way up here in Alberta I
decided to try some of that 1950's stuff on my husband:-)
I couldn't find a ribbon for my hair but I did find a piece of binder
twine in a lovely shade of green. It matches the stains on my best blue
jeans.
I cooked a meal of shake and bake chicken and rice a roni. Had all the
horses and dogs fed before he got home.
Skipped doing laundry so the noise wouldn't upset him ( wait til he
finds out there is nothing to wear clean tomorrow)
Smiled sweetly and asked him how his day was.
He looked at me as if I had gone mad. Then wanted to know what I was up
to.
Then when I suggested he sit and relax or maybe lay down for a rest
while I cleaned up the kitchen he said "I don't care how good of a horse
it is we cannot afford another one "
Sheesh welcome to the nineties:-D
