I used to ride a 16 hand gelding by Cougar Rock.  Barbara McCrary and Maryben
Stover will remember Abe well.  He was top ten (and usually top 5) over 60% of all his rides and 
even won a ride.  My only trouble with him was my 5'5" height.  He did multiday
rides like they were a walk in the park.  If the horse is put together well, there is
no reason to not ride him.  Abe is now leased to a nice family as a pleasure horse.
