riders that have certain rides they like can find the trail as well as
the back of their hand.  So just not having ride-managers just means
that you can go out and ride the ride FREE.   : o)"  Surely you don't mean to
imply that the ride managers don't provide SOME amenities such as camp site,
water, marked trail, meal and/or snacks, completion awards at minimum and last
but not least, VETS before, during and after the event.  Of course you can
ride long conditioning rides but that doesn't make them endurance rides.
Having ride managers isn't a luxury, it's a necessity if you want to ride
ENDURANCE.
