I have not followed this as closely as I should, so no flames please, just
asking for additional information.  I understand Ca is the process of
trying to change the laws regarding sending horses to slaughter.  I know
ridecamp is not the issue for this, but I think people should be warned to
very carefully examine all aspects of an issue like this.  There is also
the issue of horses being livestock Vs companion animals , I don't
understand how closely the two issues are related.  But I do understand
that if the horses status is changed to companion animal, it will have far
reaching effects on liability and tax issues, for farms, ranches, breeders,
trainers, and riders.
