Darlene,
Perhaps you made a mistake in the final fit, I would check the fit against
the back again with the guage.

While the Saddle Tech Guage gives a good static fit to the horse's back it
cannot show any dynamically occurring problems, such as one high shoulder.
I personally have had very good results with this guage and my wife, Janet
of The Australian Connection, has had very good results fitting saddles to
horses using the guage. Using the guage does take some practice but it is
realtively easy to learn to use properly.
I've saved my horse's back since I switched saddles as indicated by the
guage. He was getting sore after every ride so I guaged him and found a
god fit in another saddle I had. So far after 3 months of riding,
no more problems!!
