Purchasing a GPS

Hi group!

I am in the market for an AFFORDABLE GPS. The price range I've seen so far
is around $250-$400. So for those of you have have one of these devices
for trail mileage and such I'd like to know what model you bought, what you
like about the model, what you dislike and wish you had instead, and
possibly the name and number of the vendor you purchased you GPS through.
One of my riding buddies says her HRM interferes with her GPS(has anyone
else had this problem?), she also said she purchased her first one and it
didn't have an odometer in it. So apparently that isn't a standard feature.
Her GPS tells her how many miles she's gone and how fast also. That is
basically what I am looking for, also one that isn't to difficult to figure
out would be nice too!

I searched the archives with the word GPS and trail mileage, and barely got
any info. I remember a big thread a few months back on this subject. But
the messages I read weren't about vendor/purchasing information but about
accuracy. So I'd appreciate any information you all have! Thanks!
