Gaited horse for endurance/ctr

Hi everyone,

Someone asked me the other day why there aren't more gaited horses in
endurance and ctr competitions? Good question. With the increasing
popularity of the Tennessee Walkers, Missouri Fox Trotters, etc. it would
seem that there would be more of them out there competing. Are they out
there but you just hear about them because they're not "top 10'ing?" I
know here in Florida (at least on the competitive trail rides), you won't
see many (if any). Is there something in their way of going that makes
them less desirable as a competitive/endurance mount? Are they just harder
to condition? What do you think???
