Thanks for pointing that out Glenda! It seemed like fly spray lasting
for up to a week was a great concept (too good to be completely true
maybe), which was why I was going to try it out. I didn't think about
that -it coming off when your horse sweats and hose him off- and of
course Absorbine is not going to brag about that part! (g). I do ride
my horse every day in the summer, unless it pours, so I guess
Ultrashield would not be that much more efficient than other fly
sprays in the length of time it lasts. I guess it would only be good
if my horse happens to be out in the field for a couple of days at a
time or if we go on a non-sweaty ride (neither of which is all that
likely when the flies are at their worst and the sun is hot!). I will
check out your recipe for fly spray in ridecamp archives...and next
summer I'll try it out (boy, summer time seems far away when the
first snowflakes are beginning to make their mark on the ground and
the thermometer is beginning to read below zero)
