Give her lots and lots of grass hay to eat, and keep her dry- this is so
important! A cold rain can have a horse shivering while they can be fine in
much colder weather if they are dry. If a horse is shivering the immediate
remedy is to get
them eating hay, put on layers of sheets which you can remove as the horse
warms/dries. And keep them out of cold wet conditons unless they have
protective clothing on. Grass hay is not going make your horse obese. -Amy
